Abstract

Summary of the research :
Children's literature contributes to the formation of awareness, conscience, language and imagination in the child, as it is the best representative of methods of expression, images and ideas. Recently, researchers have noticed the excessive values in her sexuality, with which the female is treated in the Arab society, and this was reflected in the school educational curricula and children’s literature in most of its media. Therefore, the researcher focused on studying the image of women in the folklore, as the woman was dealt with in her traditional, donor image or her social image. And according to her age, occupational and class roles, there is often a great prejudice in the heritage when portraying women, which was reflected in the folk tale, which constituted one of the most important means of children's literature.
