The effect of climatic elements (characteristics and recent trends) on the Azolla plant in the Rashidiya district

Abstract

This study dealt with(the impact of climatic elements (their characteristics - modern trends) on the Azolla plant in district) by clarifying the elements of the climate in the study area and analyzing these various climatic elements.one climatic station (Baghdad station) and the time period( 11) years of the year (2011-2021)were chosen for this purpose. these various climatic elements were studied, including temperature (great - minor), rainfall, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, relative humidity and rainfall .  This study has found, however, that the temperature is very suitable in the study area for planting Azolla plants in the months when the temperature is high and is not suitable when the temperature is low because the low temperature leads to a halt in plant growth unless protected by covering the plant in nylon material. The wind speed is very suitable for planting Azolla plants in the study area and relative humidity is not suitable for plant cultivation because of its low rates.
