Food industries, their concept, importance, characteristics, types and historical development in Iraq and Maysan Governorate for the year 2021.

Abstract

    The aim of this research is to define the concept of food industries and their variation according to the authority that defines them and their importance in economic and social development. Its ability to assign the conditions that Iraq went through, its characteristics and the determinants that must be available for the establishment of food industries and the types of industries that exist in the Maysan Governorate. In conclusion, the food industries are considered in the Maysan Governorate in particular and Iraq in general  One of the important issues that must be given attention and care by the state to these industries because of their importance in economic development in a more realistic and effective way, as they are considered small industries that do not require large areas of land and do not cost huge sums compared to other industries and support the private sector in order to achieve food security insurance, which It has become very urgent, especially at this time, instead of resorting to securing its import from outside Iraq.
