Future Directions For Land Use In The Alm'amal Area According To Planning Standards

Abstract

This study dealt with (future directions for land use in the Alm'amal area according to planning standards).

The urban land uses in the Alm'amal area are diverse, with each use     

having a different share. It is essential to determine the extent of each land use in the area as it represents a crucial step for urban planners in predicting the spatial requirements of urban land uses in the region, given the increasing future demand due to population growth. The aim of the research is to conduct a detailed study on urban land uses to explore their future expansion by shedding light on population and area forecasts for a period of 15 years and estimating the resulting changes in land uses. After applying the planning criteria for urban land uses in the industrial area, the research concludes that the estimated area of the future region matched the estimated areas of expected land uses in the future, achieving a form of spatial efficiency for the area. The research also proposes several recommendations, including maintaining population balance in the industrial area, addressing significant expansions in certain land uses, particularly industrial use, and developing new residential areas in an outlying area of the city .
