Abstract
The role of social media in preserving values and cultural heritage among university students (Al-Mustansiriyah and Baghdad)
The research aims to identify the role of social media in preserving values and cultural heritage among university students in Baghdad and Al-Mustansiriyah from their point of view., There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05), between the average degrees of estimation of the research sample members for the role of social media Preserving cultural values and heritage To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relied on building a scale of the role of social media in preserving cultural values and heritage on literary studies. The research sample was selected in a random sampling method from the research community and its number reached (220) male and female students among the students of Baghdad and Al-Mustansiriyah universities according to the two variables (Al-Mustansiriyah University and Baghdad). The researcher relied on the descriptive approach as a research tool, and the results showed the following:-
1- It indicates that the role of social media in preserving the values and cultural heritage of university students (Al-Mustansiriyah and Baghdad) from their point of view came to a large extent. It is considered a positive indicator
2- Which indicates that there are no statistically significant differences according to the gender variables (males and females).
3- Which indicates the existence of statistically significant differences according to the two variables (Al-Mustansiriyah University and Baghdad), and by calculating the averages, it was found that they are in favor of Baghdad University students.
4- Which indicates that there are no statistically significant differences according to the two variables of academic specialization (scientific and humanities).
