Abstract
The Arabs-Muslims historians pay a great attention to the historical research method due to it is scientific method in general and its goal is to reach to the truth and reconstruct the past as it was. Moreover, they left to the contemporary historians a historical enormous legacy that it can be benefited from this legacy to reveal the events of past and the modern studies have registered that they are the first who mentioned the events across the men who narrated them in the precise time and accurate documentation besides penetrating in the reliable references and they have written about these references to the level that no one of the historians of the other nations reached to their efforts in this field. They did their best to document everything related to their history and their slogan was the honesty in judgment of the events and speeches of historical characters. They were the first who set the modern scientific methodology especially the rules of critics that attributed unjustly to the European historians in the 19th century. The most prominent historian of the 7th A.H was Ibin Al-Najjar, Muhib Al-Deen Abu Abdullah Mohammed bin Mahmood Bin Hasan Bin Hibat Allah Bin Mahasin Al-Baghdadi who wrote his masterpiece Postscript of Baghdad History (the renew history of Al-Salam City and news of its renowned characters besides its scientists). He wrote this postscript on The History of Baghdad written by Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdadi and explained what missed by Al-Khateeb, as result his book reached to thirty volumes. In fact, this indicates to his great knowledge in this field besides his memory and the historians after him took from his book to the biography of characters and mentioned them in their boos. Ibin Al-Najjar, as history told us, had a tremendous desire in classification of the different field of knowledge. This research tries to define one of the most important historians in the 7th A.H and study of his bringing, his teachers, students and his scientific journeys besides his intellectual achievement and how he influenced in the intellectual life in the 7th A.D through knowing his intellectual product and then study his methodology in his book (Postscript of Baghdad History) which is considered one of the wide references in the men biography as well as containing thousands of sayings of the Prophet.
