Abstract

Praise be to God, and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his pure and virtuous family and companions. The study of Arabic is an ever-giving river that never dries up, and its grammatical terms are numerous and widely spread throughout grammar books. Therefore, this research aims to examine the term "removing evidence in Arabic grammar." I divided the research into an introduction and a preface in which I defined the term linguistically and technically. I also traced the term and what scholars called it, as Ibn Jinni was the first to mention it, define it, and give examples. The term stripping off evidence has also been used in other terms, including stripping, detachment, and getting rid of. The term “removing evidence” was mentioned in names and letters; therefore, the research was divided into two sections, according to the frequency of words in which the term “removing evidence” was mentioned. The first section was to study letters, which are the most common, including “ala” with a light “ala” and “illa” with a heavy “ila”, the conjunction “waw” and the conjunction “fa”.
