Abstract

After 2010, the African continent witnessed a significant rise in competition among international and regional powers, notably Russia and Turkey. This study aims to examine the Russian-Turkish competition in Africa after 2010 by analyzing its motives, tools, areas, and consequences on African countries. The research focuses on the diplomatic, economic, and security policies adopted by both Russia and Turkey, with particular attention to key conflict zones such as Libya and the Horn of Africa. The study concludes that the Russian-Turkish competition in Africa is complex and multidimensional, sometimes intersecting with cooperation in supporting African state sovereignty and combating external interventions, while political, economic, and military influence remains the main axis of the rivalry.
