Main Article Content
Abstract
This study presents an in-depth analytical reading of Surah Al-Ma'un, by deconstructing its verses and extracting their linguistic, educational, and social connotations. The study aims to shed light on the doctrinal and moral dimensions addressed by the surah, focusing on the relationship between worship and human behavior. The study examines the Quranic descriptions of those who deny religion and the characteristics of false believers, through a careful analysis of the words and concepts contained in the surah, such as "al-Ma'un," "al-Sahun," and "al-Mura'un." The study concludes that Surah Al-Ma'un represents a unique Quranic model that links the validity of worship with sound social behavior, emphasizing that true faith is demonstrated by compassion for orphans, feeding the poor, and providing good to people, not merely performing religious rituals without spirit or sincerity.
