The position of the Turkish parties on the 1979 Camp David Accords

Abstract
The Camp David Accords, signed on March 6, 1979, between Egypt and Israel under the auspices of the United States, had a significant impact on the political situation in the Middle East. This impact was clearly reflected in the Turkish government's stance on the agreement. Turkey felt compelled to deal with the new reality in the Middle East and to work on developing its relations with Egypt. At the same time, the Turkish government expressed concerns that the agreement might undermine relations between Turkey and the Arab states on which Turkey relied for oil .
