" The Effect of the Reality Therapy Program in Reducing the Feeling of Regret Among Divorced Women"
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to develop a counseling program based on Reality Therapy (Glasser) and to measure its effectiveness in reducing feelings of regret among divorced women registered in Women Protection Departments affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The research adopted a quasi-experimental design with two groups (experimental and control) using pre- and post-testing. The sample consisted of 20 purposefully selected divorced women who scored above the hypothetical mean on the regret scale.
A regret scale was constructed with 32 items, and its validity and reliability were verified. A counseling program consisting of 12 sessions was designed based on the "Borders and Dary" model. The results indicated that the program was effective in reducing regret in the experimental group, with a high effect size of 1.895 according to Cohen's formula.
The study concluded with a set of recommendations and suggestions based on the findings.
