Aesthetic Emotion in the " Munajat al-Mureedeen" By Imam Ali ibn al-Hussein, A Study of Its Impact and Reception

Abstract

Supplication represents a profound spiritual dialogue between the servant and his lord_ a moment where the believer acknowledges his weakness and need, yet finds in it a spark of hope and renewed strength, guiding his heart along the path of closeness to God and the pursuit of his divine pleasure.

Its impact on the recipient unfolds across various dimensions- emotionally, its stirs a sense of reverence and awe before the majesty of the Creator, intellectually, it serves as poignant reminder of the souls constant need for divine guidance.

The loci of aesthetic impact are not confined within narrow boundaries, rather, they unfold across expansive horizons. Among these, we have chosen to focus on the rhetorical dimension, as language possesses a generative power that gives rise to layers of meaning – both overt and hidden. This rhetorical richness contributes to shaping a profound emotional resonance within the reader, echoing the humane longing for peace and inner tranquility.  This became evident through the rhetorical arts explored throughout this study.
