Main Article Content
Abstract
Karbala city witnesses the influx of many pilgrims to the shrines of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in addition to the shrines of the Companions and some of the city's archaeological and heritage sites. Therefore, attention was focused on studying the health status of the city and the efficiency of services provided to the city's residents and to those coming from outside. The population density and the suitability of the health services provided to them were determined through several criteria. It became clear that some criteria were negative and some were positive, according to the tables presented during the research.
The descriptive and historical approach was used for the city in addition to the analytical approach. The research included an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter included the demographic characteristics of the city of Karbala and its impact on determining the health region. The second chapter included health services and their spatial distribution. The third chapter included the efficiency of health services in the city. It ended with conclusions and a list of sources.
