Every literary text carries a speech act with influential intent. In Al-Sahifa Al-Sajjadiya, Imam Zain al-Abidin () utilized performative speech and rhetorical imagery to create an indirect yet powerful discourse. By shifting meanings from literal to symbolic through metaphor and imagination, he crafted a deeply suggestive and artistic expression that transcended authority constraints, enhancing the text’s impact and resonance with the audience.
