The Application of the K&ThI Guide to the Sense of Human Comfort in the City of Baghdad for the Period 1990-2023

Abstract
This research aims to study the application of temperature and relative humidity (indoors) and their effect on human comfort. The results show that high temperature combined with high relative humidity leads to feelings of discomfort and unease. Conversely, low temperature combined with high relative humidity creates a cold atmosphere and a lack of comfort.
Moderate temperature combined with moderate relative humidity creates an ideal and comfortable environment for human comfort. For outdoors, we used the wind cooling index by Sepp Basel. The results show that low temperature combined with low wind speed creates a cool atmosphere and causes discomfort. Similarly, high temperature combined with high wind speed creates a hot, uncomfortable, and unhealthy atmosphere, detrimental to human health and comfort. Finally, moderate wind speed combined with moderate temperature creates a pleasant and comfortable environment for human well-being
