Abstract

The need for water conservation increases with the scarcity of resources. The most important step for managing this resource is to estimate the runoff of the watersheds. Runoff and precipitation are the two main sources that maintain and replenish groundwater in winter. The surface water runoff of the study area was simulated by the Soil Conservation Service Curve Number (SCS-CN) technique integrated into the Geographic Information System (GIS). The results showed that the depth of the runoff ranged between 400-800 mm in the basin, which generates a large amount of runoff to be invested in various activities in the study area.
