Abstract

Christian religion suffered much from the persecution of the Romans for more than three centuries, which many of its men lost. The Romans inflicted great suffering on this community because they saw in their non-worship of the emperors a betrayal of the state. This worship is the best way to unify the vast empire. The Roman persecution of the Christians continued until Emperor Constantine came and in 313 issued the Milan Decree, which counted Christianity as one of the religions allowed to be practiced within the empire.
