Khair El-Din Haseeb and his role in managing the Central Bank of Iraq and issuing nationalization decisions (1963-1965)

Abstract

The Iraqi personalities who appeared on the political, economic and intellectual stage have received great attention from researchers in the contemporary history of Iraq, and these personalities have contributed to the change in its policy, whether this change was positive or negative. These researchers highlighted the role of these personalities, but there are a number of The personalities that did not shed enough light and did not receive the attention required for their study by researchers, and among these personalities is Khair al-Din Haseeb.

The importance of the topic lies in that Khair al-Din Haseeb is one of the important personalities who played a distinguished role in the contemporary history of Iraq, especially in the economic history, as he held many economic positions in the Iraqi government in the sixth decade of the twentieth century
