Abstract

This study came at a time when the short film appeared widely with the emergence of the modern technological revolution on the various facilities of life in conjunction with the changes taking place in the world at the political and social level, which made these variables cast astray in the motion picture and its film productions in general, and the film had The short film has its presence in international festivals, and with the increase in the production of short films and the organization of festivals for short films all over the world, and this indicates that the short film has an important presence in the arena and the film industry, as does the feature film or the long documentary, and that the study and establishment of cinematic workshops for the short film contributes In solving many of the problems of image and sound, as well as how to construct and manufacture the short film, whether in the writing stage, in the production stage, or in the directing and filming stage, towards achieving an aesthetic expression and new attractive values, especially since this study deals with the short film in general, its structure and how to The short film should have broad meanings that are easy to convey to the recipient. The structure of the research came in four chapters as follows: Chapter One - Methodological Framework: This axis dealt with the research problem, which came with the following question: (What are the ways in which the film maker can activate the elements of the narrative construction to produce meaning in the short film)? The chapter also included the importance of the research and the need for it, as well as the goal of it, then the limits and defining the terms. The second chapter - the theoretical framework: It consisted of three sections as follows: The first topic: (the structure and features of the short film). And it came in the second topic: (narrative construction in the short narrative film) and came. The third chapter / research procedures: which was the research procedures in which the researcher took the research method, the descriptive analytical approach,,. Then came at the end of the chapter the analysis of the sample identified by the researcher, which consisted of two films (Mirrors, 2 + 2 = 5). After analyzing the sample, the fourth chapter came: the researcher came out with a set of results and conclusions. This chapter also includes sources and references.
