AL-ALLAMEH SHEIKH MOHAMED MAHDI AL-ASEFI BETWEEN ORIGINALITY AND RENEWAL

Abstract

This dissertation, entitled "Sheikh Mohammad Mehdi Asefi: A Study of His Scientific Results and New Thoughts", the principles of jurisprudence and conduct science, ethics and its effects on the education of the individual and society and the liberal arts such as history and philosophy, political science, sociology and education. In presenting his scientific idea and expression, Allameh Asefi combined two theological approaches based on analysis, reflection, deep contemplation, precise understanding and academic approach in liberal arts theorizing and modern scientific knowledge, and the combination of these two have included wide and excellent results. until his scientific talents enabled him to attain the degree of ijtihad. Among the results of this study and the fruits of this dissertation, he had a distinct vision of modernity while preserving the originality of the past and was linking the past to the present and he was not ignoring the requirements of the future and what the nation needs to keep pace with modern knowledge and emerging sciences. Hence, we find that he excelled in all the Islamic and human sciences that he dealt with and hoped to achieve, so this study was conducted and the following results were obtained. In theology, when we look at the presentation of his theological concepts and meditate on his words, we find that he has excelled in explaining them and the theories of the Ahl al-Bayt, because he highlights the treasure of their knowledge and it dispels doubts from the sanctity of Imamate and the concept of infallibility.
