Abstract

There is no doubt that poetic meter is an important element in the structure of the poem, ancient and modern, and poets have drawn attention to its importance, as it is - that is, weight - responsible for giving the text a suggestive tone and sweet music, the weight of the poem is not an abstract structure. When the poet creates a text, he pleads with a group of means that would contribute to shaping the semantic and rhythmic features of the text.


Since the the weight of the poem was so important, this study came to shed light on the poetry of a contemporary Iraqi poet who invested the weighted energy of the seas of Al-Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Farahidi and built on it his poetry in his poetry, which he called (Alwan shatta), employing certain poetic seas without the other, and the aim of this study was to reveal the proportions of Employing poetic seas and their disparity in use, and revealing the performance licenses that the poet committed to his poems, in addition, the study aimed to reveal the peculiarity of the poet's rhythmic performance.
