Abstract

During the period (1901-1925), Iran witnessed the emergence of oil in quantities that made the major countries scramble to obtain concessions, including the extraction, production and distribution of oil for the benefit of English companies. These workers suffered from poor economic and social conditions, and the Iranian people’s hostility towards them as a result of their ideas and because they found competitors in them to work in these companies. This research deals with the situation of these workers and the Iranian government’s policy towards them
