Abstract

This research is concerned with studying the inherited singular metaphor and its representations in the ceramic murals of the potters (Siham Al-Saudi and Abla Al-Azzawi) as a model. Which is located in four chapters. The first chapter included a presentation of the research problem, which is defined by the following question: How was the inherited word metaphor represented in the products of contemporary Iraqi ceramic murals between the two potters (Siham Al-Saudi and Abla Al-Azzawi)? The importance of the research came in that it represents a theoretical and practical reading of the products of contemporary Iraqi ceramics murals through the analytical level of the inherited vocabulary and its impact on the artistic achievement, and to shed a light cognitively and scientifically on the borrowing of inherited vocabulary and its representations in the murals of contemporary Iraqi ceramics (Seham Al-Saudi and Abla Al-Azzawi) as a model, stemming from The need for this research is that it represents an attempt by the researcher to fill the void in this important space, since the topic has not been studied clearly and independently, but this study will study the phenomenon in its broad form to reach the desired results. The aim of the research is to identify the inherited singular metaphor and its representations in the ceramic murals of the two potters (Seham Al-Saudi and Abla Al-Azzawi ).
