Abstract

The importance of the research lies in the need to use modern means and techniques through the design of a designed device that works according to the principle of mechanical benefit to the movement of the joint and the muscles working on it by preparing rehabilitation exercises for the ligaments and muscles of the ankle joint for football players for applicants with torn ankle ligaments so that the athlete can return to the stadiums in time Shorter and at the level it was before the injury or close to it.


    The main research problem focused on the occurrence of injuries in football due to the incompleteness of the elements of physical fitness completely and the inappropriateness of the training loads prepared by the coaches with the potential and abilities of the players, and there is a major force that caused the ankle injury, which is the force of friction and its distance from the axis of rotation that causes Collateral ligament injury, and whenever the determination of this axis is greater than the determination of the force, the injury occurs, in addition to the delay in returning the injured players to playing the game effectively and effectively as a result of the weakness of the rehabilitation program steps after the injury, to restore their previous abilities and potential, and this may be a reason for the re-occurrence of the injury again. .


The research aims to:



  • Designing a special device to rehabilitate the ankle joint injury for advanced football players

  • eparing rehabilitation exercises to rehabilitate the ankle joint injury for advanced football players

  • Identifying the effect of rehabilitation exercises with a device designed to injure the ankle joint on some biomechanical indicators of advanced football players.


The researcher assumed the following:


- There are statistically significant differences between the tribal and remote measurements in the degree of ankle joint injury for advanced football players.


- There are statistically significant differences between the tribal and remote measurements in favor of the dimensional measurements in some biomechanical indicators of advanced football players


      Research areas included:


1- The human field: first-class football players in Wasit for the season (2020-2021) with ankle joint injuries


2- Time range: for the period from (18/11/2020 to 1/8/2021)


3- Spatial domain: Al-Iraqi Hall for body building and physical strength in Wasit Governorate / Kut District.


The researcher used the experimental method for its suitability and the nature of solving the research problem, and the researcher chose the experimental design with one experimental group with a pre and post test. The research community was represented by the players of the first-class football clubs for the applicants, and they were chosen by the intentional method, and after conducting tribal tests and applying exercises to the sample, the post tests were conducted and the statistical data processed.


Several conclusions were reached, the most important of which are:



  1. The exercises prepared on the mechanical system had a positive effect in bringing about an improvement in the values ​​of the mechanical variables and the kinematic ranges of the ankle and foot joint.

  2. The exercises on the mechanical apparatus reduced the differences between the injured leg and the healthy leg in comparison between the values ​​of the pre and posttests in all study variables and in favor of the post tests.

  3. The diversity in increasing the moments of resistance during rehabilitation by lengthening the resistance arm once and through the resistance again contributes to the positive effect of strengthening the muscles working on the foot and the ligaments of the ankle joint and thus contribute to improving the condition of the foot and joint after injury.
