Reactivation of ptosulfonic acid

Abstract

To use para-toluene sulfonic acid as a hardening agent in the foundry of Nasr General Company, this research was carried out, which is the reactivation of expired para-toluene sulfonic acid, and work was done to activate it in a simple and economically feasible way, which is that (the evaporation method) was used and with quiet heat until obtaining acid It is effective and can be mixed with furan and sand in certain proportions and used in foundries. The tensile strength or hardness was measured at the first, second, third and fourth hours, and after 24 hours, and it gave results that match the required specifications.
