Abstract
The study included 50 blood samples taken from children whose average age ranged from 7-12 years. The study included 35 blood samples of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D), as their average age was 9.4 ± 0.34 years. The study also included On 15 blood samples of healthy children, which were considered as standard samples, their average age was 10.9 ± 0.38 years. Studying the polymorphism of the amplified IL-4 -590 (C˃T) gene using the Amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS-PCR) technique. The results showed high percentages of the C allele in the infected sample compared to the T allele, and the C allele appeared as a causative allele associated with The risk of disease, while the T allele recorded a higher rate than the C allele in the standard sample, and the T allele appeared as a protective allele against disease. The TT and CT genotypes were shown to be two genotypes associated with the protective portion of the risk of developing diabetes-
