Synthesis and characterization of ligandins from Schiff bases (derived from 6-bromo-2-aminobenzothiazoles) and their complexes with divalent manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper ions.
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research includes the preparation and characterization of a number of new complexes of manganese (ll), cobalt (ll), nickel (ll) and copper (ll) with Schiff bases ligands obtained through the condensation of (6-bromo-2-aminobenzothiazole) with 4-hydroxy Benzaldehyde and 4-N-dimethylbenzaldehyde to obtain ligands (L1 and L2) and then they were reacted with the aforementioned divalent metals in an ethanol and acetone solvent, and the ratio (ligand: metal) was (1:2) to obtain complexes with the formula [ML2Cl2] ] (L = L1, L2) The prepared ligandins and their complexes were identified by elemental analysis (C.H.N), infrared spectra, magnetic sensitivity, electronic spectra, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The molar conductivity of these complexes was also studied. through
