Abstract
The lyrical and musical heritage in the Kurdistan region of Iraq is an ancient and diverse heritage. It arose and developed with the development of civilization in ancient Iraq. Therefore, its lyrical and musical arts and methods of performance varied due to the diversity and disparity in the nature of geographical areas such as plains, mountains, springs and springs that affect the lifestyle and life of the population, whether villagers or city dwellers. In addition to their cultural and national differences, in addition to the Kurds, who represent the vast majority of the Kurdistan Region, there are other peoples such as the Turkmen, Assyrians, Chaldeans and Yazidis, and this multiplicity of religions, sects and nationalities led to a diversity of text, melody and rhythm.
