Descending Semantic Movement in the Qur’an, Surat Al’Waqi’ah [Model].

Abstract

The Qur’an was keen to link the reader and text with solid bonds that bind them together, the advantage of this link lies in linking the reader to reality. The events that occur in Surat Al’Waqi’ah, in which the events follow according to their connotations descending from top to bottom, or it begins with a movement that is of the highest rank, followed by the one of the lowest rank, or by mentioning the abundance followed by the few, and so on.

This diverse movement was not accidental in the Qur’anic text, but its questions were out of place as required by the context.

The purpose of all of this is to make man see what his fate will lead to, and to employ and influence his feelings.
