The mathematical power of students-teachers in the Department of Mathematics / Colleges of Basic Education

Abstract
The aim of the current research is to identify the mathematical strength of students-teachers in the Department of Mathematics / Colleges of Basic Education. The research community was limited to students-teachers in the Department of Mathematics in the Colleges of Basic Education, in the Iraqi universities (Al-Mustansiriya, Maysan, Diyala, Mosul, Tal Afar, Tikrit, Kufa), the morning study for the academic year 2021-2022 AD, as the research sample was determined by the intentional method of students- Teachers in the Mathematics Department of the universities (Al-Mustansiriya, Maysan, Diyala) totaling (440) male and female students. The researchers prepared a mathematical strength test consisting of ((30 objective items (multiple choice) with four alternatives for each paragraph, and two indicators of virtual validity and constructive validity were extracted) , and to ensure the stability of the scale using the internal consistency coefficient method (alpha-Cronbach), and the stability coefficient reached (0.812) and after applying the research tool to the sample, the test was corrected and the data was sorted and analyzed statistically. Differences in the athletic strength test according to the gender variable. In the light of these results, the researchers made a number of recommendations and proposals, including providing curricula writers with sufficient and clear information about the importance of athletic strength, conducting a study similar to the current study on students of the College of Education or teacher training institutes
