The Effect of Educational Units According To The Cognitive Training Strategy In Learning Some Skills Football For Second Year Middle School Students

Abstract
The goal of the research is to prepare and apply educational units according to the cognitive training strategy, and to identify the effect of the cognitive training strategy in learning some football skills for middle school students. The research population and its sample are essential to scientific research, as the researchers must choose the research sample so that this sample accurately represents the original community, and the research community is represented by the students of the second grade of Tariq bin Ziyad’s middle school in the third Baghdad Al-Karkh Education Directorate, who number (103) students for the academic year (2023). /2024) distributed into (3) sections (A), (B), and (C), which were chosen intentionally. In addition, the researchers followed the steps of the experimental design by conducting the pre-test, as well as preparing the educational units and applying them for a period of two months, at the rate of two units per week, during the educational unit period. 45 After that, the post-test was conducted and relied on the most important statistical laws appropriate to the research, which led the researchers to results on which conclusions were based, the most important of which is that the diverse cognitive training strategy was effective and had a clear impact on the students’ acquisition of football skills. Using the cognitive training strategy contributed to expanding thinking. The trainee has the ability to benefit from internal resources to enhance learning. The organized training strategy has contributed to increasing the effective organization of learning information and the sequence of educational steps, while clarifying the educational and behavioral objectives. As for the research recommendations, the cognitive training strategy was adopted by the third Baghdad Al-Karkh Education Directorate. Because it has achieved an increase in the acquisition of the correct performance of motor skills, increased suspense, and stimulated the spirit of competition for students. Follow the scientific method when choosing a strategy for the educational unit, taking into account the nature and characteristics of the student and taking into account the principle of individual differences between students.
