The Role of Knowledge Management In Higher Education – The Sultanate of Oman And Iraq As An Example

Abstract

     This research aims to explore the role of knowledge management in higher education, taking the Sultanate of Oman and Iraq as an example. This work is carried out following the descriptive approach, as it is based on the previous studies, references and research to present various concepts related to knowledge management, and to determine the reality of knowledge management in higher education in both the Sultanate of Oman and Iraq through the available studies in this field and present the results and recommendations based on them. . The study reached many results, including the perception of workers in higher education institutions in both Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman for the effective role of knowledge management and the necessity of working to secure its requirements and implement its operations effectively. The current research takes a theoretical nature and can be employed in working to develop knowledge management in higher education in various societies, and benefit from its results and the recommendations that were presented based on them.
