Abstract
Undoubtedly, the poetic function is deeply rooted in its ability to convey intellectual visions and expressive energies through various references, particularly the psychological dimensions and their manifestations within the poetic text. This research aims to uncover these dimensions by focusing on the implicit aspects of the text that exhibit an openness to interpretation. The poet employs multiple levels of poetic engagement, establishing a dynamic relationship with both the reader and reality through linguistic condensation and suggestive expression. This necessitates reliance on artistic and literary aesthetics that address social and psychological needs, ultimately seeking to influence the reader. The study selects two exemplary poems: "A Song in August" by Badr Shakir Al-Sayyab and "The Ghosts' Gathering" by Mahmoud Al-Breikan. These works embody a distinctive feature of poetic creation, constructing a world where characters, places, times, and events interweave—reflecting the poet’s vision within their poetic realm. Moreover, these texts potentially establish a cultural framework grounded in socially and psychologically driven references, articulated within a creative poetic structure. Such a structure invites the reader to explore the unspoken elements embedded within linguistic meanings and their thematic richness
