Intuitive Thinking And Its Relationship To The Achievement Of Mathematics Among Middle School Students

Abstract
The research aims to identify:
1- Intuitive thinking among students of the second intermediate of mathematics.
2- Achievement of mathematics among students of the second intermediate. 3- The relationship between intuitive thinking and achievement among students of the second intermediate in mathematics.
The researcher relied on the correlational descriptive approach, and the research sample consisted of (200) female students from the second intermediate students for the academic year 2023-2024. To answer the research questions, the researcher used the two research tools, namely:
1- Intuitive thinking scale consisting of (45) items.
2- An achievement test for mathematics for the second intermediate grade, consisting of (40) items.
The psychometric properties of both tools were confirmed, and the data were analyzed and processed statistically using the Statistical Portfolio for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. It reached the following conclusions:
1- Students of the second intermediate grade have good intuitive thinking.
2- The students of the second intermediate grade have a good achievement in mathematics.
3 - There is a positive correlation between intuitive thinking and achievement of mathematics among students of the second intermediate.
Based on these results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
