Abstract

This research aims to identify the impact of using interactive teaching on developing deep understanding among art education students in the Arts and Crafts course. The research adopted an experimental design with two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The study population consisted of second-year students in the Art Education Department at the College of Basic Education, totaling (60) students, who were randomly divided into two equal groups: an experimental group (taught using interactive teaching strategies) and a control group (taught using the traditional method). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher developed a deep understanding test, the validity and reliability of which were confirmed. The results showed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the post-test of deep understanding, favoring the experimental group. In light of these findings, the research recommends adopting interactive teaching strategies in art education courses and conducting further studies on their applications in other artistic fields.
