Educational philosophies and their applications in the education of primary school students: A comparative analytical study

Abstract

This research aims to analyze educational philosophies and demonstrate their educational applications in primary education, a foundational stage that contributes to shaping the learner's personality and building their value and knowledge system. The research adopted a comparative analytical approach, analyzing the intellectual foundations of traditional, modern, and Islamic educational philosophies and comparing their impact on the elements of the educational process, particularly the role of the teacher, the learner's status, the nature of the curriculum, teaching methods, and educational assessment techniques. The research concluded that no single educational philosophy can achieve the goals of primary education in isolation, and that a conscious and selective integration of educational philosophies, in light of the developmental characteristics of students and the demands of contemporary society, represents the most effective approach to developing educational practice in primary schools.
