Main Article Content
Abstract
Educational discourse is one of the most important types of discourse that contributes to the development and change of society. It expresses a set of ideas and visions held by the speaker, as evidenced by the diversity of its types and characteristics.Among its most prominent types are directed discourse, formal discourse, and humanistic discourse, among others.
Its importance lies in its direct connection to education, which aims to achieve a set of educational and pedagogical goals included in the curricula, and which teachers are keen to implement.Linguists have been interested in studying the rules and regulations that govern discourse in various communicative situations, whether these rules are linguistic, related to the structure of language, or intellectual, cultural, and social. Therefore, discourse varies according to the field to which it belongs, as well as according to the intellectual and cognitive level of the recipient, in addition to their cultural, social, and religious background, which affects the nature of the language used and the style of the discourse.
