Fawzi Karim's Poetry in Light of New Rhetorical Support
Main Article Content
Abstract
Rhetoric is one of the most important sciences in the Arabic language and deserves study and follow-up. Poets have traditionally employed rhetorical devices in their poems, such as simile, metaphor, repetition, and embellishments, to achieve rhetorical support. This is an artistic tool with a pivotal role in strengthening the intellectual and rhythmic structure, intellectual persuasion, and aesthetic and psychological impact on the recipient. In this research, I will study the poetry of Fawzi Karim, an Iraqi poet, in light of rhetorical support. The research is divided into three sections. The first section addresses the theoretical framework, while the second discusses the manifestations of rhetorical reinforcement in Fawzi Karim's poetry, focusing on poetic imagery and rhythmic structure. The third section examines the impact of rhetorical reinforcement on shaping intellectual vision. The research employs a descriptive-analytical approach, based on analyzing and describing the evidence to arrive at key findings, including: rhetorical devices in poetic texts combine to fulfill the functions of enjoyment and persuasion, and rhetorical reinforcement contributes to generating ideas, particularly those related to the self, existence, and alienation. This research aims to benefit researchers in the field of rhetorical reinforcement and to deepen research in linguistics and rhetorical taste. Among the recommendations at the end of the research is encouraging researchers to study the phenomenon of rhetorical reinforcement in modern poetry, as well as encouraging them to study Fawzi Karim's poetry from multiple critical perspectives.
