       The current research sample consisted of (200) male and female students from the Special Education Department in the Colleges of Basic Education. The researcher developed a mental wandering scale based on mental resource theory, preparing (30) items to measure mental wandering. The researcher established the psychometric properties of the scale, namely validity and reliability. After conducting the appropriate statistical analyses, the research results indicated the followin :
