Emotional regulation strategies and their relationship to psychological stability among university students

Abstract
The current research aimed to identify the level of strategies of emotional regulation and psychological stability, and the statistically significant differences according to the variables of sex and specialization in both variables. As well as identifying the correlation between emotional regulation strategies and psychological stability .The research sample consisted of (300) male and female students from the Iraqi University, As for the two research tools, the researcher prepared a tool to measure emotional regulation strategies and adopt a scale (Al-Obaidi, 2015) to measure psychological stability, each scale consisted of (40) items, the validity and reliability of both scales were verified, and after processing the data statistically using the Statistical Package Program (SPSS). ), showed the following results:
-The university students had a good level in both variables (emotional regulation strategies and psychological stability).
-There are no statistically significant differences between males and females in the strategies of emotional regulation and psychological stability
- There are statistically significant differences between the scientific and humanistic specialization in the strategies of emotional regulation and psychological stability in favor of the human specialization.
-There is a positive correlation between emotional regulation strategies and psychological stability.
In light of the research results, the researcher formulated a number of recommendations and suggestions
