Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the quality of drinking water in the Seven Qusour area located in eastern Baghdad / Al-Rusafa side, specifically on the right side of the main public street of the region, which is shown in Scheme No. (1). Samples were collected from the water network system located in the study area, which includes the filtration station equipped for drinking water and the water network at a distance (100, 500 and 1000 meters) from the station during the three seasons of winter, spring and summer of the year 2017, where they were collected in dark bottles to conduct chemical and physical analyses. The results indicated an increase in the level of turbidity (NTU 65.5) in the network as we moved away from the station, especially at a distance of more than (1000 meters), as well as an increase in turbidity in the summer, especially in the month of August, more than in the rest of the year. While a high concentration of the chemical requirement COD (6.3-98.0) mg / L and the biological requirement were recorded
