Abstract
The current research aims to know the extent to which the questions of the Arabic language books of the fourth grade of middle school focus on developing the students’ thinking skills according to Bloom’s classification of cognitive goals. The research is the criteria for classifying the questions that the researcher derived from (Bloom's) classification of cognitive goals, and in order to achieve the objectivity of the classification, the researcher chose a sample of questions and classified them according to the criteria, then presented them to a group of arbitrators, after verifying their validity and stability, and then applying them to the research sample.
