Abstract

The goal of US President John F. Kennedy in his policy that he pursued during his term of office 1961-1963 was to introduce radical changes to the domestic and foreign policy of the United States of America, to support its position in the international arena in various political, military and scientific fields to outpace the Soviet Union, and he was interested in extending the influence of the United States of America to the East Middle East because of its importance in both the economic and geostrategic dimensions, and accordingly he tried to work on arranging the conditions of the region in a manner consistent with achieving its interests and tried to solve the problems of the region, foremost of which is the problem of the Palestinian refugees, limiting the arms race between the Arabs and Israel, and stopping the Israeli nuclear activity in the Dimona nuclear reactor.
