Mental attention and its relationship to cognitive self-regulation among university students

Abstract

       The research aims to identify the attention of mental self-knowledge, organization, and what their relationship with the university students, and for the purpose of verifying that the researcher to translate mental note prepared by both Brown and Ryan in scale (2003), consisting of (15) items and the adoption of cognitive self-regulation measure for ( Moussawi, 2010), consisting of (31) in its final form, and after making sure Alsekoumtrah characteristics of the two tools Search according to the research sample the (400) students from the university students were chosen stratified random manner.


     The results showed that the sample had the attention of my mind, which in turn has strengthened the organization of knowledge through information received by the student of cognitive environment, and also the research sample has a self-organizing knowledge of information through its attention processing, and showed statistical results and the presence of correlation is a direct positive between attention mental and self-regulation of knowledge among students, and this is due to the attention of the students with information that is consistent with their knowledge in the classroom for the purpose of processing and benefit from them, and that attention may facilitates memory through the activity of self-regulation and to satisfy the psychological needs of cognitive and arranged for the purpose of reaching the desired goal, which excel and get High-level in achievement, and building on current research results has been reached to some of the recommendations and future proposals.
