Building and measuring organizational citizenship behavior among kindergarten teachers

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the organizational citizenship behavior of kindergarten teachers. The research sample included (300) kindergarten teachers from the Baghdad Rusafa Education Directorates (first, second, third), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers built a scale for (organizational citizenship behavior) based on the theory of (Jester Bernard) after reviewing previous theories and studies. Specific to the subject of her research, as the organizational citizenship behavior scale included (49) items distributed on five dimensions (altruism, conscience awareness, civility, voluntary participation, sportsmanship), and the following alternatives were adopted in the two scales (always apply to me, usually apply to me, apply to me). Sometimes, it seldom applies to me, it never applies to me. The psychometric characteristics (veracity and stability) of the scale were verified, and the data were processed statistically through the use of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The following results were obtained:


 1- Kindergarten teachers have organizational citizenship behavior.
