Abstract

The Ismailis are among the Islamic sects that clung to loyalty to the family of the House, and agreed with the Shiite sects to pledge allegiance to the Alawi House to the sixth imam of the Twelver imams, namely Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq (pbuh), and disagreed with the Twelver by following Ismail bin Jaafar al-Sadiq, the eldest son, while he followed The others are the Imamate of Musa Al-Kadhim bin Jaafar Al-Sadiq (PBUH) according to the will of his deceased father in the year 148 AH / 765 AD. Some historians believe that the reasons that led to the sixth imam excluding his eldest son Ismail from inheriting the imam are among the mysterious matters (). However, there are those who believe that the reason for this is Ismail’s extremism in his negative attitude towards the Abbasids, and among them are those who believe that Ismail died during the life of his father, but that did not prevent the Ismailis from claiming the imamate of Ismail because he is the imam by the text from his father Jaafar, because the benefit of the text for them is the survival of the imamate On his heels, like the story of Aaron with Moses ()
