Abstract

The research aims to identify the impact of the mastery and collaborative learning styles on learning some compound offensive skills in basketball by including them in the college curriculum and identifying which style is better in learning.
The experimental method was used and the sample included (54) students in the first stage in the Department of Physical Education, College of Basic Education, Al-Mustansiriya University, and it included the means of collecting information, tests and statistical methods used.
The results were presented, analyzed and discussed, and the researcher concluded from that.
- The use of the mastery learning method has a very significant impact on learning the two skills, chest handling after performing the tapping and peaceful scoring after performing the tapping.
- The cooperative learning method has an effective effect on learning the two skills, chest handling after performing the tapping and peaceful scoring after performing the tapping.
The best method of learning is the mastery learning method.
The researcher recommended the introduction of two methods of mastery and cooperative learning in teaching basketball in the college curriculum.
