Cognitive motivation of physical education students

Survey research on students of the Department of Physical Education for the first and third stages in the College of Education
Basic - Al-Mustansiriya University.
Research objectives:
The current research aims to:

1. Identifying the relationship between the cognitive motivation of the students of the Department of Physical Education according to the variable
Gender (males and females) in the College of Basic Education.

2. Identifying the differences in the cognitive motivation of the students of the Department of Physical Education for the two stages
(First and Third) in the College of Basic Education.
Research Methodology:

The researcher used the descriptive (survey) approach because it is compatible with the nature of the problem to be researched.
Research sample:

The research sample consisted of (60) male and female students, meaning (30) male and (30) female students.
By the intentional method of the students of the first and third stages of the Department of Physical Education in the College of Education

Basic - Al-Mustansiriya University.
Research tools:

The researcher used the cognitive motivation scale designed and built by (Mona Ahmed Al-Azhari and Mustafa
Bahi) and the scale consists of a number of situations that can clarify the motivation of the students of
Physical education. The scale prepared by them measures the cognitive motivation in (30) positions. And after
The scale was shown to a group of experts in an initial manner, in order to approve its validity in
Measure what was set for it. Some of the positions that make up the scale have been deleted and modified.
by experts in order to fit with the Iraqi environment and with the research sample until the number of parking
