الملخص

Critics and text-language researchers have been greatly interested in the term Intertextuality. This is due to the hypothesis of texts'-domination upon each other and the fact that there is no text without intertextuality. This means the subjugation of a text to the authority of other texts. After all, intertextuality is a process of producing former and later text's interactions and fusions. This production has urged many scholars to concentrate and focus on elaborating intertextuality instead of textuality in modern lingual studies.

In text – linguistics, intertextuality represents an important criterion that dominates and controls the textuality of the text. Through intertextuality, the text can be deconstructed to analyze, represent, and apprehend its relation to similar texts. These processes lead to absorb and transform similar texts to be part and parcel of text's construction and manifestation.

In the Quranic discourse, intertextuality falls into two types: Exterior and Interior. Exterior intertextuality means intertextuality between some of the holy verses in Quran and verses of former heavenly texts. Whereas Interior intertextuality refers to the relation among the Quranic holy verses. It is very often that any Quranic text or verse recalls another text or a verse from the same surah or sometimes from a different surah(s).
