Abstract

The emergence of morphological terms was linked to the efforts of grammarians, due to the close relationship between the sciences of morphology and syntax, a relationship that continued for a long time.. No two researchers disagreed regarding the connection of grammar to morphology and its need for it, as it is the linguistic and earthly environment. For the establishment of the science of grammar, and a paving step for studying its issues and explaining them, and from here we see the interest of grammarians in studying it, Combined with grammar as they are one science and it is necessary to examine the first origin of the morphological term and how it developed, the importance of the research comes from the necessity of authentic historical research into the beginnings of the emergence of morphology and to shed light on the interest of scholars in the morphological term and the directions of this interest, and to show the point of convergence between both the sciences of grammar and morphology. The research aims to: define the morphological term and explain its importance in morphology, introduce the emergence of the morphological term as a separate term from grammatical terms, and root the morphological terms after maturity and development. The method followed in the research is the descriptive approach based on analysis, and the historical approach in tracing and rooting.
